Thorough cleaning of the kitchen and living area was in order for the day.
February 20, 2005
Day spent cleaning and doing laundry.
Went shopping at Target. Found turtle Easter basket. Saw hot air balloons in the distance and went to take pictures. 
Found Happy Valley Road. A new shopping center is being constructed there. The road construction involves the building of roundabouts at the exits/entrances to the freeway...of all the silly things. Keiko got to see the balloons and was worried about me being out taking pictures of them. Went back later in the evening to check out the Walmart.
February 21, 2005
Traveled down Carefree Highway to the town of Carefree. 
Saw streets with names such as Easy Street, Ho Hum Drive, Cloud Street. Saw a Gila monster slide 
Saw many interesting tourist oriented shops. They had expensive Indian turquoise jewelry and pottery, life size welded metal horses and bulls, rattle snake canes, candy with scorpions in the center. Didn’t buy a thing, but sure enjoyed looking. On the way, we saw some very old saguaro that had arms on their arms on their arms. Saw where Scottsdale is in relation to where we are staying.
February 22, 2005
Went to see the Mariners today. There were puddles and swampy areas on the fields. 
The training seemed more organized and focused with all the players engaged. More spectators than last year. Had baked potatoes at the rec hall. Visited with couple from Iowa and a couple from New Jersey.

Quiet day of not much. Hillsides are very green from all the rain
Went to Vetrans to sign release. Talked with lady who was very helpful. Not feeling well in evening.

Hiked in Thunderbird Park. Keiko enjoyed it. Saw wildflowers 
and lots of housing from atop one of the hills in the park.

Went to Swap Meet in Mesa. Found Allis Chalmers tractor lights and wind whirligig. Found a turtle solar spotlight.
